Hi there lovely readers! I wonder what have you guys been up to lately..
It's school holiday season here in Indonesia. And I've been having a pretty good time this past few days. Like for example tomorrow I will go rafting with my family, I'm super excited and I can't wait! I have also recently joined the pen pal revolution. A good old fashion letter delivered by the postman can always brighten up my day.
And I have to apologize for not updating my blog. I just came back from Jakarta, my hometown a week ago because my beloved grandmother just passed away :'( and I left my laptop here, back in Bali. And spent my first week from my return to Bali on Eyebrow Embroidery classes. actually today was a pretty long day for me, I just had my first experience on making eyebrows, eyeliner and lips embroidery on a real human model. It was really nerve-wrecking, exciting and exhausting at the same time. Will post about it on the blog, as soon as I have receive my eyebrow artist certificate. So here i am late at night finally making time for a new post on this blog when I should be sleeping.
I would like to talk about this cute little cafe that i went to when I was lost in Jakarta. I was supposed to send some of my father's work stuff but ended up in one of the hippest place in town at the moment, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK). And you have to believe me, this was unintentional hahaha
And that was how I ended up in Shirayuki Cafe.
I really like the good vibes that they spread here.
Cute little ornaments on the wall.
This is definitely my favorite part of the whole restaurant, the polaroid background.
Inside look of the cafe, behind the polaroid wall.
Second floor, I was on my way to the toilet.
Some cute signs on the toilet, man I love this cafe! LOL.
My order! It's called Doki Doki Sweets. Doki doki actually refers to the sound of your heartbeat in Japanese language. Doki doki is used a lot in Japanese Manga to show that the character in the story is in love and really nervous about something. So this would be a perfect dish for you to share with your couple. Anw a green tea sauce goes with this dish, it was being heated up when I took this picture. So wait for the best part of this dish..
if you wan't to see the whole pouring and melting process, you can check out my instagram, cause I posted a short video there. You know actually I had this little fantasy of a marriage proposal using this cake, can you imagine how surprised a woman would be when she sees a ring in the middle of the heart shaped cake stuck on the arrow cheese stick, and how perfect this cake would be for that scenario! hahaha
Honestly, the cake wasn't only good looking, it tasted heavenly too! The red velvet was super moist and goes really well with the green tea sauce, and the cheese stick really gave it a perfect savory touch. I wouldn't mind eating it everyday if it was free, lol. But unfortunately, I find it a little pricey, it cost me 75K before tax and service.
And because my first order was satisfying i thought that I had to try more. So here's my second order goes to this Bolognaise Gratin. Layers of cream, macaroni and bolognaise sauc
This wasn't my favorite because I find it to creamy. But it wasn't that bad after all. I think this one cost me 40K. I had a cold refreshing green tea ocha for my drink. Overall I really like this place and would definitely come back one day!
That's all for now!
Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!
